Ajan carries his bowl calmly, letting passer bys to offer anything towards his meal. This wooden statue is hand calved by a skilled artisan to represent a Buddhist monk in ‘Pindapata’ pose. The calming expression of Ajan has the ability to bring tranquillity to the surrounding space, making him the ideal occupier of any relaxing space or a space that would benefit from some calming influence. ‘Pindapata’ pose is also thought to inspire prosperity in some eastern cultures.
